What to Wear: Summer Wedding - Beach

It's wedding season, which means that many of you are on the hunt for the perfect outfit to wear on your friend or family member's special day.  However, since there are so many different types of weddings, finding the perfect outfit, especially in plus sizes, can be challenging.  So, I figured I'd do a series of posts this week dedicated to helping you all create the perfect look for the most common types of summer weddings.

Today's post is an example of what I'd wear to a beach wedding.  Even though beach weddings are usually more on the casual side, this does not mean jeans are an option.  Instead, opt for a maxi dress, like I've done here, that is made of a light, breathable fabric.  Since it tends to get windy at the beach, wearing a longer dress will keep you from worrying about having a Marilyn Monroe moment and mooning everyone at the wedding.

To keep your feet from sinking into the sand, choose flat sandals instead of heels.  If you're worried that a flat won't be dressy enough, look for a pair that has a hint of fanciness like a metallic or embellished sandal.  Lastly, add a great clutch and some pretty accessories and your outfit should be complete.

I hope this is helpful and thanks for reading.
