After doing a massive overhaul of my closet a few weeks ago and realizing I own a ton of black and white items, I decided to add a bit more color to my wardrobe this season by splurging on a few skirts and dresses in playful colors. One of my favorite pieces from my colorful haul is this little blue BCBGMAXAZRIA tunic I got from Nordstrom Rack a few weeks ago. I've been dying to wear it and I finally got the chance to on Friday when I went to two events with two amazing brands - Modamix and Eloquii - as a part of Full Figured Fashion Week.

The first event I went to was for Modamix. If you're unfamiliar with Modamix, it is a contemporary plus size brand that launched a spring collection at Macy's (see here) a few months ago. At the event, I got to see the pieces from their fall collection. The pieces that I am particularly excited about are the cream beaded dress and gold skirt (both pictured above). I need both to be in my closet ASAP.

The second event I attended was the Eloquii Private Trunk Sale. Eloquii has made such a remarkable comeback after closing over a year ago. The clothes they now offer are fun, flirty and interesting. I will definitely be keeping an eye on the pieces I fell in love with yesterday, particularly that beaded skirt I'm trying on (see above).
In addition to the fabulous clothes at the Eloquii event, I got to meet two of my FAVORITE curvy models - Bree Warren and Clémentine Desseaux. If you follow me on Tumblr, you know I am constantly reblogging photos of these lovely ladies. Bree has worked for ASOS, Simply Be, among others, and most recently has begun working with Eloquii and Macy's. Clémentine has worked for Anna Scholz, Lane Bryant, Fashion to Figure and Eloquii. Not only are these ladies stunning, but they are super sweet too.
Overall, I had an amazing time at both events. Not only was it nice to spend time with fellow curvy bloggers, but it was wonderful to see brands finally creating clothes for curvy women similar to what can be found in the market for straight sized women.
Thanks for reading.
