Am I the only one who is anxiously awaiting the arrival of Spring? I'm dying for warmer weather, blooming flowers, and, of course, Spring fashion. What's made the wait a bit more bearable though is the arrival of Spring clothes (or at least the Spring transition pieces) in stores.
If you're anything like me, and I'm sure you are, you've compiled super long Spring wishlists at various stores. However, since my monthly shopping budget can't accommodate all of the things that I'm currently loving, I try to edit and narrow the list down. How do I do it when there are so many amazing pieces out there? I take inventory of my closet to determine whether the item complements my existing wardrobe. If not, it stays in the store.
So, above, I've tried to give you an idea of what that process looks like for me. I take the piece I'm loving (currently this polka dot ruffled top) and create at least three different outfits, most times with things I already own and other times with things I'm stalking. Here, I've styled this polka dot top from HM+ for day, the office, and date night (or girls night) to figure out whether or not I should buy it.
Which look is your favorite? How do you figure out if you "need" an item?
Day: Top / Jeans / Shoes
Office: Top / Pants / Shoes
Date Night: Top / Skirt / Shoes
