Currently Craving: Plus-Size Brand Violeta by Mango

If you haven't already heard, Spanish retailer Mango launched their plus-size collection, Violeta, back in January and, at the time of the launch, it was only available in Europe.  However, it's finally available in the U.S. and I couldn't be more excited because the collection includes 400 items of clothing and accessories, which they will be adding to monthly.  The current collection is only available in sizes 8 - 20, but, hopefully, as the line expands so will the size range.

What I love most about the Violeta collection is that it offers contemporary pieces that are effortlessly stylish with a hint of sexiness.  Below are just a few of the pieces that I am loving from the collection.

What do you all think of Violeta?

Casual Corner: Cut Out Top, Skinny Jeans + Butterfly Printed Pumps

You may have already noticed, but I'm not much of a t-shirt, jeans and sneakers kind of girl.  Instead, when I'm looking to be more casual, I  usually reach for a pair of jeans or leggings and pair them with a cute top and an amazing pair of pumps, flats or sandals.

Today, true to form, I paired my favorite pair of jeans with this adorable cut-out top from Bar III and my Manolo Blahnik pumps for a casual and comfy look.  I know pumps aren’t what most of us opt for when we're looking to be comfortable, however, the low heels on these pumps make them perfect for shopping or any other little errands.

What is your go-to casual outfit?

Classic Combo: Sheer Polka Dot Blouse + White Skater Skirt

As much as I enjoy wearing color (see here, here and here) , I'll always be obsessed with the classic color combination of black and white.  It's simple and always has a way of looking chic, especially when you add a pop of color.

In today's post, I've paired my favorite pumps at the moment with this adorable sheer polka dot blouse and a white skater skirt.  I know many of you are often hesitant about wearing white on the bottom because you worry about emphasizing "flaws".  However, understanding your proportions and paying attention to fit and fabric will allow you to find the perfect garment for your body.

What's your favorite color combination?

Currently Craving: 12 Pairs of Plus-Sized Shorts

After wearing my little white romper a few weeks back (see here), I've been dying to add some shorts to my wardrobe, but finding the right pair to work for me has taken quite a bit of trial and error.  After a ton of online shopping, I've finally found a pair that I love.  Yes, only one pair!  Hopefully, I can decide on a few others before the summer is over.

Anyway, I figured that I'd share a few pairs of plus-sized shorts that would be great additions to any wardrobe.  Even though I like them all, I really love the acid wash shorts (#2) and the coated shorts (#7) from City Chic.  They look so fun and would easily pair with so many items in my current wardrobe.  Which pair is your favorite?

40 Plus-Sized Summer Wedding Guest Dresses

Today, to end my summer wedding series (see here, here and here), I wanted to share some plus-sized dress options for those of you still on the hunt for the perfect dress to wear to your friend or family member's wedding.  Below, I've put together some beautiful dresses that could work for several types of weddings. (Links to all of the dresses are located at the bottom of this post.)

While I focused on dresses in this series, separates can also be a great option.  A pretty blouse paired with a skirt, especially a midi-skirt, can be as pretty and elegant as wearing a dress. Plus, you'll have the added benefit of being able to style these pieces with different items in your closet long after the wedding is over. (see here for midi skirt options)

I hope this series was helpful.  If you have anything you would like to see in a future series, please let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading.

What to Wear: Summer Wedding - Garden

Today's post is all about the garden wedding.  Garden weddings are my absolute favorite type of wedding.  To me, there's just something so romantic about marrying the man you love surrounded by beautiful flowers, particularly Calla Lilies.  Anyway, before I start fantasizing about my dream wedding, let's talk about today's example.

For a garden wedding, as opposed to the beach or classic wedding (see here and here),  I'd opt for a dress that is delicate, colorful and has a hint of romance, like the one I'm wearing here, to go along with the venue.  I'd then add dainty accessories and a simple pair of heels to complete the look.  I realize that sinking into the grass/dirt is probably the worst thing ever, but there are items available to help avoid that (see here and here).  You could also choose wedges instead of heels.

I hope this gives you an idea of what you could wear to a garden wedding.  Thanks for reading.
